The On Line Group has over 34 years of experience in its field and currently employs over 600 staff across the 6 organisations. It has a reputation for being the natural choice for the design and detailing of complex projects in the region. The On Line Group have developed far beyond its initial founding goals, and now serves clients across the UK with a range of services to meet projects of any size.
In order to stay ahead of the competition, the On Line Group continue to invest in their IT infrastructure which is why they chose to work with MS3 Networks.
Previously, the On Line Group had been using a 150Mb licenced microwave radio link between their Head Office in Immingham and Hessle which had at times caused issues with stability in extreme weather conditions. MS3 replaced this with a 1Gb fibre point to point connection providing a more resilient link whilst also ensuring users could seamlessly transfer data and access files securely between all sites.
Following the upgrade of this link, the On Line Group asked MS3 to upgrade a 100Mb Ethernet circuit between Immingham and Grimsby. This link had not experienced any real issues but the On Line Group felt ready to increase their bandwidth to match the circuit to Hessle. MS3 demonstrated some exceptional cost savings for the On Line Group by upgrading the circuit from 100Mb to 1Gb and the Group now benefits from having a private 1Gb network across all 3 sites. This has enabled the Group to centralise their servers and telephony and use a number of other products including Office 365 throughout the organisation.
“I was delighted to recently award a five-year contract to MS3 to supply the On Line Group with a 1Gb Fibre Optic link between our Hessle and Immingham offices.
We are a local company, well known both North and South of the Humber for supplying specialist Engineering Design and Project Management services.
We have staff operating out of four locations, all of which are now connected by 1Gb Fibre Optic Cable. This allows us to centralise our servers and telephony resources enabling any member of staff to work seamlessly from any office. The backbone of any corporate organisation requires a resilient infrastructure of which MS3 have demonstrated to have.”
