MS3, Hull’s alternative fibre network operator, has recently celebrated the first birthday since our network went live. 12th March 2013 was a date celebrated amongst staff, shareholders and directors at MS3 as the first customer went live on our fibre network. Since then there has been a steady increase as more customers begin to see the incredible speeds offered coupled with competitive pricing.
MS3’s Managing Director Tony Hales commented “It is a fantastic achievement to celebrate a year since our network went live. We have been steadily building up a customer base around Hull with some very prestigious customers using our services and we will continue to add to it year on year.”
MS3’s network has also received national recognition late in 2013 at the NextGen13 awards which named us runners-up ahead of local rival KC in the ‘Fixed Urban Networks’ category. The NextGen awards highlight achievements in developing and deploying better broadband infrastructure and the impact it has on the local economy.
Having completed the first phase of our fibre network build early last year MS3 are keen to carry on with plans to add to the existing infrastructure and serve other business parks around Hull.
Tony Hales added “We will carry on growing our network until we’ve covered as much of the city as possible. I’d like to apologise in advance for the construction which will be ongoing around Hull whilst we create a bigger network but I hope people appreciate that it’s because we want to provide Hull with an unrivalled fibre infrastructure which can support businesses in the city whilst also attracting new investment and job creation in the area.”
Earlier on today we celebrated by delivering cakes to celebrate the achievement with two of the first customers on our network. (MS3 Managing Director Tony Hales pictured right with Fritsch UK Managing Director Martin Smith)
